New website for De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB)

We had the opportunity to build the renewal of the web landscape for De Nederlandsche Bank.

New website for DNB

The website of DNB has not only become more user-friendly, but is also targeted at a broader audience. The website focuses on seven themes that describe current issues. Here, visitors can find up-to-date figures, relevant studies, and backgrounds. For the professional visitor, the website offers the same service as before. Technically, the new website meets all contemporary standards.

Teamwork

The DNB project was characterized by a successful collaboration between multiple parties. ilionx took responsibility for the cloud, hardware, and security, and also focused on the UX design and front-end. Novaware was the partner when it came to the realization of the website within the CMS. For this, we used Umbraco CMS. Acceptance tests were carried out by Specialisterren, experts in software testing services with a mission to get as many people with autism into work as possible. So, it was teamwork!

The COVID-19 crisis seemed to throw a wrench in the works as everyone largely worked from home. However, many advantages became apparent. Especially during testing. Users clicked through a clickable prototype, while DNB personnel could provide input without disrupting the process. Because employees could do this from home, they could easily start and stop as it suited them. Also, the CMS training we provided was partially done remotely. There was no need for a test location, training room, or complicated set-up.

Future

The launch of the new DNB website is of course a great milestone. But we are far from finished! There are still a number of interesting further developments in the pipeline. This will ensure that the website will align even better with the wishes of the users. In addition, continuous work is being done to simplify the management in the CMS. We are looking forward to continuing this wonderful collaboration!
